Tecserv Supports Wallingford Fire Department & The Fire Fighters Charity!

On Saturday the 30th of March Tecserv visited and took part in a local charity car wash event in in the historic market town of Wallingford, Oxfordshire!
The Wallingford Fire Department had been asking for townsfolk and local businesses to come down to Wallingford School to have their cars washed while they take part in the National Fire Fighters Car Wash League for The Fire Fighters Charity!
Naturally we took 3 of the Tecserv fleet that varied in sizes to show support to the efforts made by the Wallingford fire department and The Fire Fighters Charity as a whole!
What was not expected however was the additional amount of support they received from the other locals and businesses alike, queues for the carwash were staggering but excellent for a town which has the same population as your average Tesco's!
It was a great morning, the sun was shining, the tea's and coffees were in full flow and Wallingford Fire Department were friendly and efficient, the department's only fire engine played a pivotal role as the 'jet wash' while the fire fighters were given the scrubbing duties!
It was quite funny to see the brave men and women of the fire department, who regularly climb into burning buildings panic when the largest van in our fleet turned into the car wash ready for a good old scrub, one of the fire fighters even asked if he should get the ladders off the engine!
We would like to pass our thanks to all that took part on the day, in main the heroic members of the Wallingford Fire Department however we would also like to thank the Tecserv staff that volunteered their time for the morning, we always feel it is great to support your local charities and organisations especially when there can be occasions in which they are overlooked or taken for granted!
